It was a quiet one, except for inside my head. That’s like every day.
I refilled my pen with ink, but the black was too cloggy, so now it’s brown like a fine cigar. Or some bullshit.
Later note: I honestly thought Naomi was saying there is both a Schenectady, NY, and a Synecdoche, NY, but upon later discussion I found that’s not what she was saying. She only brought up the movie “Synecdoche, New York” because it was a cultural point of reference that we both knew (PSH!), to show that we were indeed thinking of the same word, but I couldn’t have known that because I definitely wasn’t pronouncing it right. It’s a problem that I often have. Maybe I don’t pronounce very well because apparently I don’t hear very well either. I get the feeling the convo was even more complicated than how I’ve recorded it here. Still, we’re adorable.
